At Elmtree Preschool, we take your privacy seriously. This notice explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information about you and your child.

What information do we collect?

• Child’s name, date of birth, contact details, medical info, and learning/development observations.
   
• Parent/carer details (name, contact number, address, emergency contacts).
   
• Attendance, funding, safeguarding, and SEND records.

Within our registration forms there may also be other information you can provide, but this is optional. Optional information provided is treated in the same way as any required information collected.
 

Why do we collect it?

• To meet our legal and statutory duties under the Early Years Foundation Stage and GDPR.
   
• To keep your child safe, monitor their progress, and access relevant funding.
   

Who do we share it with?

• Local Authority (e.g. for funding and early years support)
   
• Ofsted (for inspections)
   
• Other professionals where consent is given (e.g. speech and language therapists)
   

We will never share your data for marketing or commercial purposes.

How is data stored?

• Secure digital systems and locked files
   
• Data is retained only as long as required by law
   

Your rights:
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
