Elmtree Preschool is a registered not-for-profit charity, we are registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), No.1 200160. Elmtree Preschool is overseen by a volunteer board of trustees, who are committed to the continued development of our setting.
Our trustees help with strategic decision-making, financial oversight, safeguarding responsibilities, and ensuring we meet Ofsted and Charity Commission standards.

We are registered with Bristol City Council and work in partnership with them to deliver high-quality early years education and care. We offer places for both 15 and 30 hours of government-funded childcare, available for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds. We offer places for both 15 and 30 hours of government-funded childcare, available for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds. We also work closely with the Council’s Early Years Specialist Teams, including the Early Years Portage and Inclusion, who provide additional support, advice and training to help us meet the individual needs of every child.
Elmtree Preschool is registered and therefore regularly inspected by Ofsted (The Office for Standards in Education). Ofsted ensures that we meet national standards for early years provision, safeguarding, teaching and leadership.

Through this membership, we access high quality training and information, expert legal, HR and policy support, professional development tools, and also our public liability insurance. Being members provides reassurance to families and ensure we meet our legal and ethical responsibilities as Early Years providers.
We are a member of BAND, a local organisation that supports early years providers across Bristol. BAND offers specialist training, policy guidance, and safeguarding support; helping us stay up to date with best practice and local initiatives. They also assist with staff development, and inclusion funding applications.
