A message from Becky and Caroline ...
Hello, thank you for taking the time to find out more about Elmtree Preschool.
We set up Elmtree Preschool as a Charity Incorporated Organisation (CIO). We are both Trustees of the charity, and each have a leading role within the day to day running of Elmtree Preschool.
We worked together for a number of years, and found we both shared the same passion and belief that play, exploration and curiosity are the best and most exciting paths to learning. We started to create a home from home environment and developed our approach to the Early Years Foundation Stage, to support and encourage this ethos. A key value we both have is ensuring every child and their family feel welcomed and valued.
We want to create an environment where children can explore and celebrate their individuality and creativity. We both love the small community approach you can achieve with preschool settings - it is what makes a preschool environment such a unique and special place, for children to begin their journey developing love and curiosity for learning.
After exploring all our options we decided to embark on the journey together to open Elmtree Preschool, to continue all the above, and much more!

Elmtree team work Ethic
Elmtree Preschool has a wonderful team of Early Years Professionals and volunteers. We all provide a wide range of experience and knowledge within management, early years and charity structures.
We believe each member of the team's role is of equal value to the successful running of Elmtree Preschool. We encourage and promote a positive and healthy work ethic amongst the team, and aim to ensure everyone feels valued and appreciated for the role they play in providing a safe, welcoming and nurturing preschool environment.

Lou has managed and developed charity shops in Bristol for over 15 years. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in charity organisation, management and marketing.

Trustee (Inclusion & Multicultural support) volunteer
Bee worked for many years as a Senior Early Years Practitioner in a preschool. She is now a qualified swimming teacher with focus on early years. As well as English, Bee is fluent in German & Spanish too!
Bee brings knowledge of Early Years development, and experience of the day to day running of a preschool.
